A Wall That Holds Time

Project Type

one-time installation art work

date

May 2023

Art doesn’t have to last forever to make an impact. My intermittent wall art is a testament to this truth—a fleeting creation that demands intense focus and creativity within a short span of time. With just two hours to transform an ordinary wall into something extraordinary, the clock becomes both my challenge and my muse.

The one-off nature of this project isn’t a limitation—it’s a gift. Knowing that this artwork will soon vanish sharpens my concentration and fuels my passion. Every line I draw with masking tape, every curve and edge, is imbued with purpose. There’s no room for hesitation, only the rhythm of creation and the satisfaction of knowing that what I’m making will exist only in this moment.

But the beauty of this process lies not only in the making but in the witnessing. I want viewers to feel a spark of surprise, to marvel at what can be done in just two hours, and to carry that sense of wonder with them even after the art is gone. The impermanence of the piece isn’t its flaw—it’s its essence.

This project is more than a wall installation. It’s a celebration of fleeting moments, a challenge to embrace the present, and a reminder that the most meaningful things in life are often the ones that don’t last forever.
