Gift of Light

I painted Gift of Light without sketches, plans, or expectations.
Like all of my works, it began with a moment of quiet —
a space where I could meet myself without judgment or noise.

Painting, for me, is not an act of control. It’s a conversation.
I listen inwardly — not to define what I feel, but simply to feel it.
And as my hand moves across the fabric, I allow what is within to rise, line by line.

This piece appeared during one such conversation —
a gentle moment of offering something from myself, unpolished and honest.
The lines are asymmetrical, the forms imperfect.
And yet, they hold a kind of balance that only honesty can give.

In today’s world, I often feel that people forget to ask themselves how they truly are.
We are so busy responding to the demands of life,
we rarely stop long enough to meet our own reflection.

Gift of Light is not about visual beauty or interpretation.
It is a space — a pause — where the viewer can reconnect with their inner presence.
I hope this work creates a soft interruption in someone’s day,
reminding them that even in imperfection, there is warmth.
That even without answers, there is light.
